Sibizi TV invites you to submit your video content for consideration on our new linear digital TV channel. We are a fully digital broadcasting platform that prides itself in quality, educational and compelling content. Sibizi TV is a free-to-watch online tv & video streaming platform owned by parent company Sibizi Media PTY ltd.
Proposal for New TV Show or Series
Please note: Sibizi TV does not commission shows outright. However, we do accept program proposals that are funded or provided to us for broadcast at no charge.

Program Idea Submission Guidelines:
If you have an idea for a program and would like to submit it to us, please send the following details in writing to our programs team, at tv@sibizim.co.za, please include the following:
- Your name, email address, and cell phone number
- A brief description of the show (no longer than one page)
- For TV series: Provide a list of ideas for the first 13 episodes
- Information about the production team, including CVs and a pilot of the show or show reel
- Specify if the show is sponsored and provide details of the sponsors
If your show interests us and there’s a possibility of securing a sponsor for airtime and production costs, we will issue you a letter of intent to present to potential sponsors. Final negotiations regarding airtime and sponsorship will be managed through the Sibizi Media Sales and Marketing office.
Movies, Documentaries, Short Stories & Inserts:
If you have content that you are offering free of charge and would like Sibizi TV to consider using it, you will be provided with a Memorandum of Agreement. This document grants Sibizi TV permission to broadcast your content while ensuring that you retain ownership. For submissions of this nature, please contact our programs team at tv@sibizim.co.za.
Content Specifications:
When submitting pre-recorded content, please take note of the following:
- We do not accept low quality video footage – must be 4K and above, in Landscape format -16:9/16:10 – a native aspect ratio of most high-definition widescreen LCD monitors and TV’s.
- Shows should be 30minutes long – should allow for 3 AD break slots in between quarter times. Your episodes should accommodate X 3 3minute ad slots adding to 9 minutes advertising time per 30 minute slot. Therefore full episodes should be at least 20 minutes long each.
- Documentaries and Docu-Series episodes submissions may – by exception – be at most 60minutes long – should allow for 6 AD break slots in between quarter times. Your episodes should accommodate X6 3minute ad slot adding to 18 minutes advertising time per 45 minute slot. Therefore full documentary episodes should be at least 40-45 minutes long each.
- Brand advertorials should each be 30 – 60seconds long.
- You will retain ownership of all your content throughout. Sibizi Media (Sibizi TV) will also retain partial ownership of all contents aired on Sibizi TV to use for the channels promotional campaigns and or
- No Explicit or offensive content. GBV, Xenophobia, Crime, Porn or any other negative programming
- Shows should be 13 episodes aired over 3 months as season1.
Terms and Conditions of Service for Sibizi TV
- Sibizi TV’s primary objective is to provide broadcasting and information services to the public in South Africa, in accordance with the Broadcasting Act No. 4 of 1999 as amended.
- These Terms and Conditions of Service, along with our Privacy Policy, govern the relationship between Sibizi TV and the User of our services. By using our services or platforms, Producers agree to abide by these terms.
- It is the responsibility of the Producers to familiarize themselves with and comply with these Terms and Conditions of Service and our Privacy Policy. Sibizi TV reserves the right to determine eligibility for service access and is not obligated to provide reasons for any denial of access.
- Producers are authorized to use our platform for personal and commercial purposes, though they are granted a non-transferable, non-exclusive right to access our content platforms.
- All use of our platforms must comply strictly with applicable South African laws. Any use of our digital platforms and websites that contradicts these laws is prohibited.
- Sibizi TV does not guarantee the accuracy of information on our broadcast platforms (websites and social platforms), which are provided “as is”. We are not liable for any inaccuracies or losses of any kind. Producers are encouraged to verify information before relying on it.
- All personal information collected from Producers through our website will be handled in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act No. 4 of 2013 (POPIA) and our Privacy Policy.
- Any breach of these Terms and Conditions by Producers will be their sole responsibility. Sibizi TV is not liable for any losses, damages, or injuries resulting from such breaches.
- All content and material on Sibizi TV’s broadcasting platforms (websites and socials) remain the property of Producers and partially of Sibizi TV as the owner of the platforms. Video content may still be for promotional purposes for Sibizi TV – indefinitely – even after Sibizi TV and Producers are no longer in partnerships. Producers agree to comply with all legal requirements for protecting and preserving this content and Sibizi TV’s intellectual property rights.
- All rights to the content, including copyright and other intellectual property rights related to programs, are partially retained and owned by Sibizi TV.
- These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Producers consent to the jurisdiction of South African courts.
- Please note that these Terms and Conditions of Service may be subject to periodic updates and changes.
Disclaimer: Sibizi TV creates its own content, and our creative team may develop concepts similar to those submitted. Sibizi TV commits itself to engaging with producers before publishing such content to advise them and discuss the similarities in said content pieces. Sibizi TV will not be held liable for any claims of copyright infringement arising from such independent creations.
